Kickboxing: We offer "Cardio kickboxing" classes. We start off with 10-15 minutes of warm-ups, which may include stretching and traditional exercises such as jumping jacks, jump ropes, weights and push-ups. After that routine, we do shadow boxing with light dumbbells for about 20 minutes. Finally, we put on boxing gloves and use punching bags to do knee strikes, kicks, and punches for about 20 minutes. After this, about 10 to 15 minutes are devoted to crunches and cooling down, and sometimes followed by about 10 minutes of stretching and muscle conditioning. Stretching is really important because beginners can strain ("pull") their muscles, and slow, proper stretching helps relax muscles and prevent injury.
