About Wednesday Night Laundry Runners (WNLR)
The Wednesday Night Laundry Runners is a loosely organized running club that was formed one August in the mid 1960's after several runners ran as fast as they could go through the Del Monte Forest in Pebble Beach, California for about an hour and then consumed large quantities of pizza and beverages. Qualifications for membership are your desire to be a member and 1) An attempt to run the infamous Wed. Night Laundry Run and make it at least to the top of Congress Hill and 2) A donation of $10.00 per year to cover newsletter production and mailing costs and USA Track and Field association yearly dues for the club. The WNLR's are registered with the USATF as Team 133.
