About Delia Bradford - California Impressionist
Delia Bradford's studies in art began as a child imitating her parents, internationally known artists from the Carmel area. Upon discovering the works of the masters of French Impressionism as well as those of the early California painters, she began developing the techniques, insight and sensitivity to color, light and movement required to create such pieces. This background coupled with her desire to produce fresh work has allowed Delia to create a style unique in capturing all the subtle changes in a landscape. Delia prefers to work directly with nature (en plein aire) to absorb the energy and mood of the moment and transfer them to canvas. Her work has won numerous awards and has been exhibited in many prestigious galleries throughout Northern California. When one peers into one of her paintings, they are invited to a serene and peaceful setting often with an unobstructed pathway and abundant wildflowers. Once you enter, you discover tranquility rarely obtained.
