Parent Update 9/22/2008

Thank you to all of you who have helped gather and purchase supplies for the science classes. It looks like we have most everything needed for the lessons. A special thanks goes to Karen Monahan and Barbara Okamura for creating the list of supplies needed and organizing the supplies and purchasing some of them as well. It all helps!

Another thank you goes out to all who were able to come to the Coastal Beach Clean-up at Del Monte Beach on Saturday. We had several students and parents from both classes who cleaned the beach and played in the sand for many hours. It was great fun. Thanks for helping our oceans and it's inhabitants as well as help our greater community.

Our field trip to the Monterey State Historic Parks is this Wednesday. We are still missing a few field trip permission slips and money for the trip so, please send those in by tomorrow or your child will have to stay at school that day (especially the permission slips). We are planning to depart ISM at 8:30 so, please make sure your child arrives to school on time that day. Each student will need:
- walking shoes
- a zero or low waste lunch
- wear ISM uniform

We will have a Math assessment test on Friday for Unit 2. Many math journals went home on Friday to help some students catch up on their "Math Boxes" and some in class work.
